Samson is so excited to get baptized!!! He has changed so much since the first time we met!! He is so much happier and talks more and is more friendly with other people hahaha!! And he keeps putting me in my place!!! Hahaha...like we were teaching him tithing and I asked him at the end if "he would do that for me?" And he said "no.. But I'll do it for my Heavenly Father" and all I said was "well crap you just put me in my place" and he laughed and said "I guess I'll do it for you too!" Hahahaha
On Sunday we were walking to the church building and Elder Crossley was being dumb and as a joke I was like "stop acting like a child" and Samson was like "aren't we all children of God?" Okay Samson I get it!!! He is so fun!!!! I can't wait for him to get baptized!!! And he loved conference!! He was taking notes and everything!! He came to me cause apparently in the priesthood session it talked about... well the priesthood... and giving blessings and he came to me and said he wants to give his mom a blessing before she dies!! And he is so excited to get baptized for his dad in the temple!! And he was wearing Elder Shelly's name tag around cause he wants to be missionary haha!!!
Desmond is doing great!! We met with him earlier in the week and
read with him and tried to talk about how important church is and that he has to come more and being tired isn't an excuse not to come!! But he came to general conference yesterday so it must have worked!! He's super excited to get baptized too!! We changed his date to April 16 cause he doesn't want to wait as long!!!
Kawa is seriously amazing!! So we met with him and he came to
general conference and he brought a translator. I was talking to
the translator and it turns out Kawa was a police officer in Iraq and
accidentally went into a Christian town. His religion always taught
if you do something wrong or anything they will kill you...but this
Christian town was talking about peace and love and God and Jesus and he knew something was wrong! So he went back to this town everyday but his family found out and tried to kill him so that's why he came to Germany!! How cool! Well not that his family wants to kill him but that he wants to be part of our church that bad!!!
This week we met with a guy named Prosper, from Africa, and he's so cool!! He already has a great testimony of God and LOVES the Book of Mormon and thinks it's amazing we have another testament of Jesus Christ!!! So we set a baptismal date with him for April 30!! We will see how that goes!!! We haven't met with him much so I'm not sure if he will have troubles with any commandments!!
Remember Prince?? So we met with him and he's sooo cool!!!!! He has a lot of questions about the Book of Mormon and Joseph Smith, but that's okay cause I would probably have questions about that also!! hahaha. I'm so excited to teach him about the plan of salvation cause his wife and daughter are stuck in Africa and he is so sad cause he hasn't seen them in a while!! But that's okay too cause families can be together forever!!!!
I contacted Santa Clause this week!!!! He even brought up Santa Clause in our conversation!!! I went up and told him about the Easter video... and he was like that won't help me I'm atheist and I was like "oh that's cool... I'm a Mormon" and I kept talking!! hahaha Then he went into how God isn't real it's just history...and moms tell it to their kids so they are good...just like Santa clause and he's not real either! I wanted to tell him how funny that was that he brought up Santa Clause cause they look alike...but I decided to hold it in haha! And I made him promise to watch the video and told him he was going to feel something and that's called the Spirit and when he decided he wants that for himself he better call me!! Then he brought up after life and how there isn't anything after we die... so I told him about what happens and he
just went pshh...then I said "I'll make you a deal... if I'm there I'm going to find you heaven and do two things:
1-Not tell you I told you so
2-Tell you everything you won't let me tell you now!
And he said what if I'm right? And I told him that's a sad ending to great story now isn't it? He didn't say much! When I walked away I told him I look forward to his call! Hahaha
Pday was so fun!! We went to this huge park in Essen and there is
all this fun stuff in it!! It's so big and we didn't have time to
finish it so we just got to the bird side!! But there were a lot of
cool birds there and we saw some fun things and I almost got bit!! And learned how to say "don't put your finger in the cage" in German hahahah so that's cool!!
