December 5th, 2015--What an amazing day!

When Haley's mission call arrived, and we realized that she would miss Fred's return by about 10 days, we notified Fred's mission.  In turn, we found out that Fred would be flying home early so that he would be able to see Haley before she left!  Nothing like cutting it close!! 

Fred's flight arrived at around 10:30am, Saturday, December 5th.  We met him at the airport, went out to lunch at Costa Vida, and had family pictures taken.  Then that night, Fred was released from his mission and Haley was set apart as a full-time missionary for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.  How special it was to have Fred released and Haley set apart at the same time!  So much wonderful advice was given to Haley has she was preparing to embark upon an adventure like none other.  Following Fred being released and Haley being set apart, we returned home and were greeted by countless friends coming to welcome Fred home and say their goodbyes to our Sweet Haley!

covering a 4 year span of time--from the pictures shortly 
before Colten left for his mission in August of 2013 
to when Haley will return in June of 2017.  
Sydney did a most amazing job and I will cherish these photos FOREVER!!!

Missionary Pictures!

Thanksgiving Day dawned sunny and clear!  

We met Sydney over at the temple to take some quick pictures of Haley...and were hoping for a couple we could use!  

Little did we know that Sydney would end up sending us over 50!!  Here are some of the favorites!

On September 9th, we took Haley through the temple for the first time.  

What a beautiful experience it was!  

The Spirit was so strong.  

What a privilege to be a part of something so special!

Opening The Call

That evening, surrounded by countless numbers of friends and family (in person and via the use of every iPhone, iPad, and computer in the house), 

Haley opened her long awaited mission call.  

"Dear Sister Baker...you are hereby called to serve as a missionary of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.  You are assigned to labor in the Germany, Frankfurt Mission..."
